In North Carolina
This month has been SO busy for my little baby self! We got back from North Carolina early Tuesday morning. I was so exhausted!! All I wanted to do was sleep the entire next day, but Mommy kept waking me up and making me eat. Trust me, sleep was WAY more important to me than eating. The trip went well except it was SUPER overstimulating being around all my aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. The nieces were the worst. They were constantly pinching my cheeks, holding my hands, and cooing in my face. I could usually control myself until the end of the day, but once dinner time came, I let EVERYONE know that enough was enough! There were a lot of exciting parts, too. I got to go into the Atlantic Ocean with Daddy, swim in two different pools, and watch two great thunder and lightning storms. Hopefully, I will see everyone again soon!

First Roadtrip
We just got back from my first road trip. Mommy and Daddy took me all the way to Bozeman, Montana. Mommy fed me at 10:00 p.m. and then put me to bed Saturday night and when I woke up in the morning, we were in Montana! I had no idea that we had even left the house. We did a lot of very special things on our trip. On Sunday, we drove up the Gallatin River to the 320 Ranch to visit my "Montana Family." The ranch is where my Grandpa Kiemel used to work. They really loved him there! In fact, they even have a picture of him hanging right in the front office for all to see. I overheard Pat (general manager) saying that people still ask about him all of the time. It seems that my grandpa was one special guy! We spent Sunday night at the ranch. Then, on Monday, we did some exploring toward the south at a place called Quake Lake. By the time we got back to Bozeman, it was time to check into our hotel. For dinner, we ate at my grandpa's favorite restaurant- Famous Dave's BBQ. Mommy and Daddy seemed to really enjoy the food there. Tuesday morning was when I officially got to see where my grandpa is buried. Mommy took me right up to his grave site. She told him all about me and even left a couple of pictures so that he will remember who I am. After our visit, Mommy and Daddy rolled me around town in my stroller. Then, we headed out to Daddy's property in a place called Manhattan. Once Daddy had a chance to get into the river, we got back on I-90 to head home to Washington. The ride home was not nearly as nice as the ride there! Do you know how hard it is to sit in a car seat for 11 hours? At least heading out to Montana I was able to sleep through the ride. On the way home, I felt like the trip would never end! Hopefully, by the time we go next year, I will be able to adjust myself and find more comfortable positions. Aside from the long ride, I definitely like the idea of road trips and look forward to taking another one soon!
