My Letter to Mom and Dad...

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am laying here in bed trying to fall asleep. What a night it was! It was the first time that you and Dad decided to leave me with another babysitter and go gallivanting around on your own. I hope you had fun with your friends at dinner, because I sure did! Sue and Ryan did lots of fun things with me. Although, I do have to say, Ryan made me a little nervous at first. Boy is he a big person!!! I got over it though once I realized that he was really a sweet guy. After you left, I finished eating, and we went downstairs to play. I got to fly like an airplane which I love...I love wiggling my arms and legs at the same time! After that, I got to take a bath. That was the best part of the night! Ryan and Sue wrapped me up in my towel, and they took this cute picture, but they didn't realize how quickly I get cold, so when I started shivering, they rushed to get me all bundled up in my pajamas. Thank goodness! I was pretty tired after all of that so they put me to bed. Now I am just laying here and I wanted to let you know that I had a good time. Sue and Ryan said that they would love to babysit me again, so feel free to go out again sometime. Well, off to bed! See you in the morning... I can't wait!

Love, Paige

Big Surprise...

I am not going to tell you what it is other than it is pictures of me trying something new... look for them sometime tomorrow.

9 Months Old!

Today was my 9 month birthday!! I went to the see the doctor yesterday and she says I am right on track. My height and head are progressing well. My weight is still in the 3rd percentile but nothing to worry about. I weighed in at a whooping 13 pounds! I am small but strong!! I had the most fun playing with myself in the mirror (at least I think it was me). I banged my head quite a few times trying to reach in and grab myself. The doctor also tested my iron levels- apparently they look good. Mom got the all clear to feed me meat... I will just tell you now, I am going to be a meat demon. What is better than meat? Anyway, I don't have to go back to see the doctor until I am a year old. Good for me!

Help!

I just overheard Mom and Dad talking about Nanny Jana. They said that her husband, Jesse has applied for two new jobs in California. It sounds like they are probably going to move really soon. Where will I go if Nanny Jana leaves? I know that Mom and Dad are doing their best to find me someone new to spend Mom's work days with. I must admit, I am a little nervous... I mean, I really like Nanny Jana and Caileb. I am not sure I want to spend time with anyone else. I will keep you posted about what is happening... I have a feeling that we will all know very soon if Nanny Jana is leaving.

Grammy's Camera Phone

Look at the pictures Mommy took of me with Grammy's camera phone. Pretty cute, huh? What's even cuter is that Grammy figured out how to download the pictures from her phone to her computer so that we could have a copy. Grammy's visit sure was fun!

My Weekend

We just got back from a short road trip to Portland, OR to visit one of Daddy's friends from high school and my Godfather (who is only in town for the weekend). I had a great time cuddling with Olivia (Daddy's friend's daughter). She had a friend over named Stella who really knew how to make me laugh. She was one funny girl! Then, today, we headed over to the house my Godfather grew up in; it's in Vancouver, WA. It was a little overwhelming seeing his entire family starring at me, but I relaxed after Mommy changed my diaper and his mom brought our a caroling stuffed dog. It was really fun sitting with my Godfather... I even got my first dental exam!! After that, we started home. We stopped for lunch at Wendy's where my Mommy got a vanilla frosty that she shared with me. Boy, oh boy do I have gas from that! I can't stop letting them rip!! But, it was way worth it!! It wasn't long before we were on the road again... but then I realized that Mommy and Daddy forgot to change my diaper. I cried just long enough for them to pull-over. Leave it to Mommy to pull over at Fort Lewis! You get straight off the freeway right onto the base. Thank goodness Daddy was there to get us back onto the freeway. What was Mommy thinking?! Overall, I had a great weekend road trip!

Pasta and Veggies

Last night, Mommy and Daddy gave me something I have never had before- pasta with white sauce and peas. They just mashed up some of the food they had for lunch. It was really good! And last week, they blended up some broccoli and cauliflower (they got the recipe out of the baby food cookbook that my Godmother bought them for Christmas). I really liked that, too! There is so much great food that I haven't even explored! I can't wait to try more!

Exciting Week

My grammy was here all last week to play with me! She came on Monday and left on Friday. It was perfect since Nanny Jana is still in Germany. We played a lot of fun games together and she even made up a song all about me. Every time I hear it, I get super excited (and a little embarrassed). It starts likes this, "Who is this beautiful baby? Paige is her name..." Grammy also helped me get better at a lot of things, too. I am better at pulling myself up by holding onto Grammy's two fingers, drinking out of a cup, feeding myself finger foods, and standing. Grammy also introduced to me some new foods, like baby cheese puffs. It was a SUPER week! I was sad to see Grammy go! Hopefully, she will be back soon!

Sips and Splashes

I have just discovered two new things that I can do- splash during bath time and drink from a cup. It started a couple of nights ago when I was in my little bathtub. I just started moving my arms up and down and all around. The next thing I knew, I was splashing water everywhere! I have to admit that I am still a little disturbed when I hit myself in the face with water, but I am getting used to it with each bath. About the same time, Mommy started putting water or juice in a cup (not one of those annoying sippy cups that requires you to suck in and chomp down on it at the same time) but a real cup- the kind she and Daddy drink from. Well, anyway, I am getting really good at taking some of the liquid into my mouth and swallowing it. Don't get me wrong, I am NO expert (I still dribble quite a bit of liquid out the sides of my mouth) but it won't be long before I don't need my bottle anymore. High five to me!
