Birthday Cupcake

As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday cupcake! It was Funfetti cake with dark pink frosting. Delicious! I even dropped some on the floor for Trevor. I hope that it doesn't have a negative effect on his diabetes. I hope that all of my birthday celebrations last four days!

Open, Close, Open, Close

There is nothing I like better these days than opening and closing doors... my bedroom door, the closet door... any door really. And, I haven't even shut my fingers in a door- that is just how good I am at it!

A Real Live Cat

This afternoon, I went to the park with my friend, Caileb. We went on the swings, down the slide, and played in the wood chips. While we were playing, a gray cat with a gold name tag, came onto the playground to visit us. His name was Abraham. He rubbed up against me and let be pet his head and tail. That made the park even more fun!

Yucky!!

I recently discovered where Trev-dog gets his food and water. For the longest time I assumed that it was from off of the floor under my high chair. I now know that he actually has his own food and water dishes, just like my baby food dishes. Anyway, not only are these bowls good for Trevor's necessities, but they are also super fun to play in. Well, as I was playing today, I decided to see what Trevor's food tastes like. All I have to say is, YUCKY!! Trevor's food is not for me! It is amazing that he will eat that stuff after tasting all of the delicious food I drop for him!

Only 3 Days Left...

... until my very first birthday! I noticed one wrapped package in the living room from my Gran and Grandaddy, plus the musical table Mommy and Daddy gave me a little early. Then, yesterday morning, when hanging out with Godmother, I got two super cute pairs of pants and a cupcake onesie. In the afternoon, Mommy and Daddy let me open my gift from Grandpa Bob and Grammy. It is a 3-in-1 trike! Since I am so little, I am using it like a rocking horse now. When I get bigger, Mommy and Daddy can push me around on it and then when I am even bigger than that, I can learn to ride it all by myself! I wonder what other surprises are in store for me on Thursday.

With My Doggy Trevor

All By Myself

I am getting better and better at pulling myself up and standing. Sometimes, when I get the balance just right, I can even let go and stay standing (no hands!). I am not so into the walking since my crawling is so fast- it is quicker for me to crawl then to try to figure out how to walk there. I am also getting really good at bending over to pick things up and then returning to a standing position.

On the Move

As you can see, I am a super crawler! It is hard for Mom and Dad to catch me in a photo since I am so darn fast! Did you also notice my new camo gear? I got this outfit from cousins Pat and Gillian.

First Cold

I started feeling a little funny yesterday afternoon on my walk with Mommy at Soaring Eagle State Park but I tried to ignore it. I mean, a cough here and there doesn't really mean anything, does it? Well, that is what I thought until waking up this morning with my eyes caked with eye boogies and a much more irritating and consistant cough. I really wish I knew how to clear my throat! Luckily, I still feel like eating and even playing! Plus, Mommy said that I can spend the whole day in my pj's!

19 More Days

Can you believe it?! Just 19 more days until my first birthday! I can't wait!

Phone Message

When Mommy got home from work on Thursday, she checked the phone messages and that is when I heard a message just for me from my Godfather! I sent him the super cute picture of us together from January. I was going to wait for Father's Day but that is so far away! I just couldn't wait for him to have it! It was super fun to hear his message to me- he even complimented my improved packaging skills!

Johnny Jump-Up

Look at me in my Johnny Jump-Up! This super fun device is helping me to strengthen my legs to better prepare me for walking. Not to mention that I can play with my toys standing up.

Fast, Fast, Fast

Things are happening so fast in my little life it is hard for me to keep up! After weeks of Mommy trying her hardest to get me to drink from a sippy cup instead of a bottle, I have finally kicked the bottle habit. I now take all of my liquids (milk included) from a sippy cup- and a whole month before my 1st birthday (the American Pediatric Association says that all babies should be drinking from a cup by their 1st birthday). In addition to the sippy cup, I have also mastered my crawling. I am all over the house and especially like chasing Trev-dog! I am also getting a lot better at pulling myself up on things. I can stand at the coffee table, against the outside of my crib, and against the refrigerator. Finally, I am getting a lot better at feeding myself. It used to just be that I could give myself Lil' Crunchies, but now I am feeding myself Cheerios, too! Oh boy, what's next?!
